QSEN Expertise

I have been a QSEN Core faculty member for Phases I, II, and III and am now a member of the RWJ-AACN/QSEN Project.  My clinical expertise, scholarship and teaching are focused on leadership and nurse/physician relationships. 

Competency Expertise

Within the current AACN/QSEN project, I am the content lead for teamwork and collaboration, and patient/family centered care.  I have worked with faculty in many schools of nursing helping them incorporate the QSEN competencies into the curriculum, and to lead major organizational change in improving the learning environment for faculty, staff and students. 

Teaching Expertise

I teach at the graduate and undergraduate levels, and have particular expertise in clinical teaching, lectures, ITV format and web-based coursework. 

Research Expertise

I am currently conducting funded research on nurse/physician relationships and leadership.
