Program Experience
BSNQSEN Expertise
At WI, we created a partnership with our academic medical center, which brought together clinician-faculty partners in order to generate QSEN teaching strategies in clinical settings. Specific outcomes included implementation of a patient safety scan across all clinical sections and several unit-specific projects related to quality initiatives. In classroom settings, an informatics competency assessment for first-year nursing students and online tutorial about information literacy in nursing were implemented. I also developed a template for developing simulation scenarios that incorporated QSEN competencies.
